Societe Generale announces the appointment of Aurélien Viry as Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale Factoring (SGF), the factoring subsidiary of the Societe Generale Group. Based in Paris, Aurélien reports to Alexandre Maymat, head of Global Transaction and Payment Services (GTPS). His appointment is effective since 3rd January.

Based in Paris, Aurélien reports to Alexandre Maymat, head of Global Transaction and Payment Services (GTPS). His appointment is effective since 3rd January.
In his new role, Aurélien will focus on Societe Generale Factoring’s strategic development, recently recognised by EMEAFinance for its « Best Factoring Services » in the following regions : EMEA, CEE, Europe and Africa.

Biography:
Aurélien Viry joined Societe Generale’s General Inspection department in 1990 and was appointed Deputy Head for the Group’s Branch in Seoul in 1996. In 1999, he became COO for the North Asian region. In 2001 he was appointed COO of Societe Generale Securities (ou alternativement COO of Global Equities and Derivatives business Line) for Asia. In 2003, he returned to France to join the Global Equities and Derivatives Department as Head of the Middle Office. In 2005, he was appointed General Manager for GENEFIM, the Group’s real estate leasing subsidiary. In 2011, he joined Komercni Banka, the Group’s subsidiary in the Czech Republic, as a member of the management committee in charge of Risk. In December 2016, he was appointed Head of Payments & Cash Management within GTPS.
Aurélien holds degrees in Business Administration from ESCP and in Accounting and Finance.
